CSS Dev Conf 2013

Graphics filters have been part of SVG since its spec was standardized in 2001. Now they're finally useful for general development via inline SVG and CSS filters. I'll show demos (with code) of selective blurring, shadow manipulation, unsharp masking with thresholding, white and black-point manipulation, dodging and burning, and effects animations that work cross platform in edge browsers. I'll also show how to create a wide range of textures using the filter noise function.
